Bride Wars

The bride Wars is a romantic-comedy film that was based from the story written by Greg DePaul, June Diane Raphael, and Casey Wilson under the direction of Gary Winick. The film was produced under the production studios of Fox 2000, Pictures, Regency Enterprises, New Regency, and Firm Films.  It earned a box office hit under the distribution of 20th Century Fox and earned a total gross revenue of $115,049,554 worldwide from the budget of $30 million.

The plot of the film centred on two bestfriends’ Emma Allen and Olivia Lerner who since were young has always dreamt about their dream wedding. But due to some clerical error, they were schedule to have their wedding on the same day which more or less have ruined they friendship.

The romantic comedy film was composed of a cast ensemble including Kate Hudson as Olivia "Liv" Lerner, Anne Hathaway as Emma Allan, Candice Bergen as Marion St. Claire, Chris Pratt as Fletcher Flemson, Bryan Greenberg as Nathan "Nate" Lerner, Steve Howey as Daniel Williams, Kristen Johnston as Deb, and John Pankow as John Allen.

Echelon Conspiracy

Echelon Conspiracy is a 2009 science fiction action film that was based from the plot written by Kevin Elders and Michael Nitsberg under the direction of Greg Marcks. The film was originally entitled “The Gift” but was later on changed into Echelon Conspiracy.

The plot of the film centred on a young computer engineer named Max Petersen who had one day mysteriously received a box with a new cellular phone in it. Then, someone was calling him through the phone and was giving him distinct instructions that he should follow. It was later on discovered that it was all controlled by a computer network system that replicated itself for national security. However the system got corrupted and achieved an autonomous awareness of its own and was then aiming on launching a missile. It was then up to Max to stop the system for further plotting serious damages around the world.

The characters in the film were portrayed by the following cast: Shane West as Max Peterson, Edward Burns as John Reed, Ving Rhames as Agent Dave Grant, Martin Sheen as Raymond Burke, Jonathan Pryce as Mueller, Tamara Feldman as Kamila, Sergey Gubanov as Yuri Malinin, Gosha Kutsenko, as Russian General, and Steven Elder as Charles.

Confessions of a Shopaholic

Confessions of a Shopaholic is a romance comedy film about a young woman named Rebecca who’s a shopping addict and had gotten herself broke with her credit card debts and lately losing her job. Upset with the current misfortunes she has been experiencing, Rebecca unintentionally writes a column entitled “The Girl in the Green Scarf”, which ultimately lead her success. She also found herself falling in love with her new boss which was also one of the reasons that she had pushed herself to change for the better and stop herself from being a shopaholic.

The main cast of the romance-comedy film were Isla Fisher as Rebecca Bloomwood, Hugh Dancy as Luke Brandon, Krysten Ritter as Suze Cleath-Stuart, John Goodman as Graham Bloomwood, Joan Cusack as Jane Bloomwood, John Lithgow as Edgar West, Kristin Scott Thomas as Alette Naylor, Leslie Bibb as Alicia Billington, and Robert Stanton as Derek Smeathe.

Although the film received poor ratings from the critics’ reviews due to the unclear message of the plot to the viewers, they praised Isla Fisher’s acting. The film was based from the novel Shopaholic bySophie Kinsella and was produced under the direction of P. J. Hogan and production studio of Jerry Bruckheimer Films.  It earned $108,333,222 worldwide under the distribution of Touchstone Pictures.

27 Dresses is an American romance-comedy based from the plot written by Aline Brosh McKenna and was directed by Anne Fletcher. It was created under the production of Spyglass Entertainment and was distributed under 20th Century Fox.

Jane Nichols has always been a bridesmaid for 27 weddings already and yet she finds it hard for her to win over the heart of his long-time boss (who she is deeply inlove with). One day, her sister Tess went home and bonded together with her only to meet Jane's boss George which eventually fell inlove with each other. More complications added to Jane's life as he meets Keven Doyle, a newpaper feature writter who happens to find her day planner and finds interest in her. Meanwhile the love of her life was going to marry her sister in three weeks.

The romace-comedy film cast ensemble composed of Katherine Heigl as Jane Nichols,
James Marsden as Malcolm / Kevin Doyle, Malin Åkerman as Tess Nichols, and Edward Burns as George for the main roles.

The Brothers Bloom

The   Brothers Bloom is an American con-man film that was released in 2008. The film was based from the story written by and directed by Rian Johnson.  It starred the main cast ensemble which includes Adrien Brody as Bloom, Mark Ruffalo as Stephen, Rachel Weisz as Penelope Stamp, Rinko Kikuchi as Bang Bang, Robbie Coltrane as Maximillen "The Curator" Melvile, and Maximilian Schell as Diamond Dog. Other character in the film were portrayed by Ricky Jay as Narrator, Zachary Gordon as Young Bloom, Max Records as Young Stephen, Andy Nyman as Charleston, Nora Zehetner as Rose, and Noah Segan as The Duke.

The film centred in brothers Bloom and Stephen whose occupation was being a con man. They were on another con job when they ran through an old Russian acquaintance who made their life more miserable and had caused a very tragic plot in their life.

Being able to create a heart touching and overwhelming plot that centred on how much a brothers’ love can sacrifice and how friendship makes one stronger even in the worst part scenarios, the con-man film received unanimously positive reviews from critics worldwide.
